The stainless steel diaphragm-actuated pneumatic 316L butterfly valve operates by using compressed air to drive a flexible diaphragm connected to the valve stem. When air pressure is applied to the actuator, the diaphragm moves linearly, transferring force to rotate the butterfly disc through a quarter turn. This rotation opens or closes the flow passage precisely. Releasing or reversing the air pressure allows the diaphragm to return to its original position, driven by spring force or opposing air pressure, thereby repositioning the disc. The use of a diaphragm isolates the actuator mechanism from the process medium, ensuring hygienic operation and preventing contamination. The 316L stainless steel body provides high corrosion resistance, making the valve suitable for sanitary, chemical, and pharmaceutical systems requiring reliable and automated flow control.
